About the Role
Wyatt Seal is seeking a Warehouse Operations & Quality Lead to support the daily operations of our Tennessee branch. This position serves as the operational leader within the warehouse, ensuring inventory accuracy, quality compliance, efficient warehouse processes, and timely customer deliveries. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who can balance warehouse operations with quality control responsibilities while supporting company initiatives related to inventory management, counterfeit product prevention, and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) control.
This role works closely with the Branch Manager and Quality Team to drive operational excellence, maintain compliance with company procedures, and support Wyatt Seal's commitment to exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control
• Conduct inspections of incoming shipments and maintain documentation related to quality inspections and non-conforming products.
• Verify outgoing customer orders, assembled kits, and shipments for accuracy and completeness.
• Investigate quality concerns and assist with implementing corrective actions in coordination with Quality and Operations personnel.
• Support compliance with ISO 9001 requirements and company quality procedures.
• Maintain records related to quality inspections, corrective actions, and non-conforming material.
Inventory Control
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and routine inventory audits.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and identify root causes.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of products in accordance with company procedures.
• Support and maintain the Foreign Object Debris (FOD) Prevention Program to protect product integrity.
• Administer and maintain the Counterfeit Product Prevention Program, including required documentation and record retention.
• Assist with annual physical inventory activities and inventory reconciliation.
Warehouse Operations
• Coordinate and prioritize daily warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Assist warehouse personnel in completing operational tasks to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Monitor warehouse productivity and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure inventory locations are properly maintained and organized.
• Report delivery issues, carrier concerns, and supply chain disruptions to the Supply Chain Manager.
• Promote and maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Leadership & Facility Support
• Work closely with the Branch Manager to provide support to warehouse personnel.
• Assist in training employees on warehouse procedures, quality requirements, safety practices, and inventory control processes.
• Lead by example in demonstrating Wyatt Seal's values, professionalism, and commitment to customer service.
• Support facility maintenance activities and coordinate building-related issues with the Branch Manager.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
• Track and report key warehouse performance metrics, including inventory accuracy, cycle count results, quality findings, shipping accuracy, and corrective action status.
• Participate in internal audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, quality performance, and inventory management practices.
Minimum Qualifications
• 3+ years of warehouse, inventory control, quality, or distribution experience.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a warehouse or operations environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse best practices.
• Experience working within documented quality systems and procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment and lift materials as required.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working within an ISO 9001 certified environment.
• Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software.
• Experience with industrial products, sealing technology, fluid power products, or distribution operations.
